EnviroScience has adopted the following
core values which we call our Guiding
Principles. It is expected that every
employee from the entry level technician and
office assistant to the president conduct
themselves under these principles.
1. Passionate
Customer Focus
EnviroScience’s focus on its client’s needs is
the catalyst for future growth. Passion is a
true differentiator among professional services
firms. Our clients must know us, like us and
trust us in order for them to sole source our
services. Passionate client services are the
responsibility of every employee, from the CEO
to our entry-level colleagues.
2. Urgent
Obsession with Quality
Satisfy EnviroScience’s client’s needs 100% of
the time. Strive for “A” work with no mistakes.
Eliminate costly re-work. Demand quality work
products from all colleagues. We will raise the
industry bar for quality, always striving for
continuous improvement.
3. Participation
at All Levels
Decision-making is the collaborative product of
honest communication between our employees and
our executive staff members. EnviroScience
relies on the technical knowledge and management
capabilities of its members as key to its
success. Employee empowerment brings opportunity
and responsibility to every member of the firm.
Each employee shall strive to understand our
Guiding Principles and incorporate them into
their daily activity.
4. Teamwork
EnviroScience members believe that good, honest,
real time communication is key to teamwork.
Meeting of one’s responsibilities,
accountability for one’s actions and the
fulfillment of one’s commitments as part of the
team are ongoing expectations at EnviroScience.
Speak up respectfully if anything or anyone
breaches our commitment to teamwork.
5. Organizational
Ethics and Integrity
Our members must believe in EnviroScience.
Integrity in one’s work and commitment to the
firm and its members are fundamental to
employment. If a member is not satisfied with
working conditions, speak up, share data and
constructively deal with the issue. This
commitment is at the very foundation of the
employer/employee relationship.
6. Teaching and
Learning
Learning is a journey, not a destination. This
continuous process is a two way street. The
teacher has the responsibility to provide good
instruction and to be available for follow-up.
The student has the obligation to understand,
retain and consistently practice lessons
learned.
7. Ownership
Mentality
Although company owners often work hard and put
forth great effort, their primary measurement is
the result they achieve. Members of
EnviroScience who feel like owners, think like
owners, act like owners and care like owners,
will be treated as owners. That is the firm’s
commitment to its employees.
8. Quality and
Profitability
EnviroScience members believe that both the firm
and its clients are entitled to a fair exchange
of value. Our members will not seek to be paid
more than the value of our service or agree to
less payment for the value provided by the firm.
9. Progressive
Management Team
The EnviroScience team continuously strives to
teach and follow the company’s Guiding
Principles. Management is vested in the
development and actions of their direct reports.
As such, they are measured on the performance,
career development, and production of their
direct reports.
10. Aptitude,
Attitude and Intellectual Laziness
If an employee fails to perform as expected, we
will assume the cause of non-performance is one
of the above. If the cause is aptitude, we will
provide further training. If the cause is
intellectual laziness, we will provide notice of
the need for improvement. If the consistent
cause of poor performance is attitude, we will
take action to remove the employee from the
company. |
