Neal B. Freuden,
President and Officer-in-Charge
EnviroScience was organized and incorporated in 1987 by Neal B.
Freuden. Mr. Freuden brings 33 years of combined experience as
an environmental health and safety firm administrator and
governmental official. His background as a director with a large
municipal agency has provided him with the experience in
managing and controlling government contracts and projects. He
has worked closely with local, state and federal officials on
community and environmental issues. Mr. Freuden was one of the
first ten individuals to be licensed by the Commonwealth of
Massachusetts as a Master Inspector and served on the
Connecticut Department of Health Services' Task Force that
designed the implementation of the lead based paint regulations
adopted in September 1992. He is a nationally recognized expert
on lead based paint issues related to housing and is a frequent
guest lecturer on the subject.
Stephen W.
Connelly, Sr. Vice President and Officer-in-Charge
Mr. Stephen Connelly has over 34 years of experience in
environmental consulting and project management providing
consulting services to utilities, industry and governmental
agencies. Much of that consulting service has been directed to
indoor air quality issues addressing Clean Air Act requirements.
Over the past 18 years, he has focused attention on asbestos
management and indoor air quality services. Mr. Connelly's
project experience includes large-scale projects for the U.S.
Postal Service, the Department of Defense, the Department of
Veteran's Affairs, the General Services Administration and the
Connecticut Departments of Public Works and Transportation. He
has performed hazardous materials surveys for the Hartford
Housing Authority, MJB Corporation, Bridgeport Economic
Development Corporation, and numerous other public and private
sector clients.
Robert May, Vice President, Boston Office, Hazardous
Materials
Mr. May has a degree in Architecture and
serves as our Technical Designer on asbestos abatement projects.
Mr. May is the Manager of Hazardous Materials at EnviroScience.
His area of specific technical expertise is hazardous materials
(asbestos and lead-based paint) assessment, abatement design and
construction administration. Mr. May has designed over $50
million of hazardous materials abatement. He is one of the most
experienced professionals in the northeast relative to lead
based paint abatement. He was the designer on the New Bedford
Housing Authority lead based paint abatement program, which the
U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has referenced
in its current Guidelines as the standard for lead based paint
design specifications. He has designed the abatement of asbestos
and lead based paint containing components for five large family
developments for the Boston Housing Authority. In addition, he
has designed lead and asbestos abatement programs for the
housing authorities of Portland and Van Buren, Maine, New
Britain and Greenwich, Connecticut, and numerous private
property owners and non-profit housing organizations.
James L. Scott,
CIH, Manager, Industrial Hygiene
Mr. Scott is a Certified Industrial Hygienist and serves as
Project Manager for EnviroScience Consultants on various lead
and asbestos abatement and industrial hygiene projects. Mr.
Scott has over 20 years of experience in the planning,
implementation and management of industrial hygiene, health and
safety, and environmental engineering programs. For 12 years, he
served as Senior Industrial Hygienist and Regional Manager for a
major environmental services firm. During his tenure, he
designed and administered large asbestos abatement projects for
government and private sector clients. He also performed quality
control for industrial hygiene, lead paint abatement and
asbestos projects and reports.
Jeffery J.
Duigou, LEP, Manager, Environmental Sciences
Mr. Duigou manages the Environmental Sciences Department at
EnviroScience. He is a Licensed Environmental Professional. He
is familiar with Federal and State regulations, environmental
sampling protocols and field testing, and health and safety
equipment and practices. His special expertise includes Site
Development and Brownfields Redevelopment, Soil and Materials
Management During Construction, Natural Attenuation (NA)
Studies, Bioremediation of Soil and Groundwater, Marine
Biological Surveys, Environmental Impact Assessments, Media
Sampling (soil, sediment, water, air), Soil Gas Surveys,
Environmental Site Investigations, Remedial
Investigations/Feasibility Studies, Pre-Design Investigations,
Remediation System O&M, RCRA Results-Based Project Management,
and Permitting.
Ashis
Roychowdhury, Manager, Hazardous Materials
Mr. Roychowdhury is a Hazardous Materials Manager involved in a
variety of inspection, monitoring, sampling and testing programs
for asbestos, hazardous materials and indoor air quality. In
addition, he works with health and safety issues and regulatory
compliance programs. Mr. Roychowdhury has been involved in
managing asbestos building surveys in post offices throughout
the Northeast, as well as guiding asbestos surveys in many
public and private schools, colleges, office buildings and
manufacturing plants.
Matthew A.
Myers, Manager, Fairfield Office, Hazardous Materials
Mr. Myers is the Manager of EnviroScience’s Fairfield, CT
office. He is also Manager of Hazardous Materials involved in a
variety of design, inspection, project monitoring, sampling and
testing programs for asbestos, lead-based paint, hazardous
materials and indoor air quality. In addition, he works with
health and safety issues and regulatory compliance programs. Mr.
Myers has been involved in design, managing asbestos building
surveys, O&M activities and 6 month periodic surveillance and 3
year re-inspections throughout Connecticut including the
Fairfield, Wolcott, Greenwich, Milford, Trumbull, Stamford,
Stratford, Ridgefield, Monroe, Woodbridge and Amity School
Systems as well as hospitals, several large commercial entities
and private dwellings. |
