The project involved hazardous materials design and abatement of one of the boiler rooms. EnviroScience was the general contractor for the asbestos abatement and fuel oil cleanup. We obtained an alternative work practice ( AWP ) from the State of Connecticut Department of Public Health for the asbestos abatement due to the amount of material that was damaged (pipe insulation and boiler materials) and the amount of contamination that existed on the concrete floor.
