EnviroScience provided hazardous materials inspection, design, and construction administration, including inspection to characterize the asbestos, lead paint, PCBs and mercury hazards in the building, preparation of contract documents for abatement of the hazardous materials and remediation oversight and documentation to meet the requirements of EPA and the State of Connecticut.

EnviroScience’s efforts included hazardous materials inspections for asbestos, lead based paint, PCBs-containing light ballasts, and mercury containing light tubes. We provided lead-based awareness information and managed the removal of the ballasts and the asbestos-containing roof material.

EnviroScience performed a hazardous materials survey to support the renovation of the entire existing structure. EnviroScience subsequently developed a design for abatement of asbestos and lead based paint, and conducted monitoring of the hazardous materials abatement.
